About Big Island PMC

Aloha, we’re Dave and Debbie, Owners of Big Island Property Monitoring Consultants (Big Island PMC), located in Waikoloa, Hawaii. Our quest to become a home watch service company was inspired by our own experience of owning a vacation home here, before finally making our move from Colorado. Through the years, we spent countless hours renovating our homes, so couldn’t help to wonder what the condition of one property was when spending time at the other. While we were fortunate not to have any real issues, there were minor things that created stress in our lives, which could have been easily resolved with a service like we intend to provide. Now, as permanent residents, we often hear the same concerns from seasonal visitors, and it’s what encouraged us to create Big Island PMC.

Dave is a Master Plumber and has been in the field for 35 years. His experience is in all areas of plumbing from construction, renovation, repair, and service. He’s also worked for large Mechanical Companies and was the Superintendent of many commercial projects, including the renovation of the Air Force Academy. As a Master Plumber in Hawaii, he’s worked here long enough to know there are more challenges when it comes to plumbing in a tropical paradise than one would imagine. While digging through lava is obviously the first, the next could be chasing a leak down a never-ending pipe, slowly eroding from the salt water air or cracked from an earthquake.

Debbie worked in the financial industry for 20 years before they moved to Hawaii. She was a Financial Crimes Consultant, specializing in fraud prevention and identity theft investigation. This career has given her a heightened awareness of privacy, confidentiality, and the importance of this when creating a relationship and establishing trust with Homeowners. Her organizational skills and attention to detail keep the business running efficiently.

When we’re not busy working, we take time to appreciate this beautiful Island, which we now get to call home! We enjoy paddle boarding, snorkeling, and exploring the Island by foot or riding motorcycles. Spending time with friends and family, talking story, is the best experience of living here.
